Defining Nationalism - a) The theories: Romantic-idealist, instrumentalist, contextualist, social-constructivism (“invented” nations) and the typologies. b) The vocabulary: natio and nation, nation vs. ethnic group, nationalism vs. national sentiment, nationalism vs. (national) ideology, nationalism, nation and state, nationalism: good and bad, nationalism vs. chauvinism/xenophobia, nationalism and history. Nationalism as a fuzzy concept or a cluster of properties.
